Protein bread loaf


Experiment #1 and I think it was pretty successful 🙂  I will have another go with extra egg whites. Maybe double. And try adding nuts or seeds to the mix. 

But as far a paleo, keto, Protein, low carb, bread goes,

This turned out well. 

It has a soft flexible texture. Much the same as regular bread. 

Can be sliced thinly for sandwiches or toasted up. 

Perfect for break or lunch.

Recipe

1/2 cup golden flaxseeds (ground to flour)

4 egg whites

1 egg

1 cup protein powder (flavoured for a sweet loaf or unflavored for savoury)

1 tsp baking soda

1 Tbs Apple cider vinegar
Preheat oven to 170°

Beat egg whites until very fluffy (almost at stiff peaks)

Fold in the rest of the ingredients and pour into a lined loaf tin.

Bake for 15 minutes. 

Allow to cool completely before slicing .
