Keto Bagels 

Keto Glutenfree Bagels.

I really wasn’t sure wether I wanted to post a photo of these here healthy morsels. It’s the second time this has happened to me with baking… things turning GREEN !?! Da fuk? I did a little researching as to whaaat was going on. These babies are loaded with sunflower seeds. Turns out sunflower seeds are loaded with chlorophyll, which can seep out during the heating process and turn your baking green! Has this happened to anyone else? 

They may look a little funky but they taste great and are perfect for a bread substitute on a lowcarb, keto, paleo diet.

 Plus chlorophyll!! 

I’ve always been a big advocate of chlorophyll and have used it in my morning routine along side drinking  Lemonwater and apple cider vinegar apon wakening for years. 

I always thought it had to be in supplement form though, through liquids or capsules. And I suppose to get the adequate, beneficial amount, then that’s the way to go. But sunflower seeds contain chlorophyll.

  • 4 eggs
  • 1 cup flaxseed  (linseed same thing)
  • 1 cup sunflower seeds
  • 1/3 cup sunflower seeds
  • 1 tsp apple cider vinegar
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • Salt to taste


Pre heat oven to 160°C

Blend 1 cup flaxseeds and one cup of sunflower seeds into a flour. Add to a clean bowl and mix in 1/3 cup whole synflower seeds baking powder and salt.

In a separate bowl, beat egg whites until light and fluffy. Mix in yolks then add to dry ingredients. 
Add in apple cider vinegar. 

Once mixture is combined, shape into bagels and place on a lined baking tray. 

Or bake in a loaf pan.

Bake until bread tapped sounds hollow.

(Around 20 mintues)
