Protein donuts 

Turning healthy protein snacks into something fun! 

I have posted protein donuts before, a few recipes back. But unlike the banana ones these are fruit free 🙂 


1 medium cup cooked mashed sweet potato 

1/4 cup coconut flour

1 Tablespoon protein powder

3 eggs

2 Tbs coconut oil

1 tsp vanilla extract

1 Tbs rice malt syrup or maple syrup

1 tsp cinnamon

1 tsp baking soda

Blend all ingredients together and fill a donut pan 3/4 full for each donut.

Bake at 180°C for 15 minutes.  

Allow to cool before icing.

For the icing

1/2 cup cooked mashed white sweet potato

1/4 cup coconut butter (not oil)

1 tsp cacao (for chocolate frosting) 

** Add sweetener if desired. I find coconut butter sweet enough
