Tahini cups 

Ahh tahini. I have love hate relationship with this seed butter. Sometimes I love it, other times not so much.  Different brand maybe? Either way the day I made these I was loving it. Can’t you tell? So many hearts? 

Sweet or savoury it packs a great protien punch and choc full of awesome good fats. 

Depending your recipe you’ve got the option of hulled or unhulled. Alot of people get confused here. So your hulled is with the outer layer skin removed.

Unhulled is with the skin still on. (You get more fiber this way)but also a darker bitter taste. Either way they’re both doing your body a favour in nutrients 🙂

These recipe makes 2 snack sized cups.


2 Tbs kapaipuku seed blend

1 TBS rice malt syrup 

1/2 Tbs coconut oil 

Blend together, press into silicone muffin moulds and pop in the freezer


2 Tbs Hulled tahini 

1/2 Tbs rice malt syrup 

1/2 Tbs coconut oil

1 Tbs vanilla protein powder

Mix and pour over base.  Pop back in the freezer  


3 Tbs coconut oil

1 tsp cacao powder

2 tsp vanilla protein powder

Mix together and pour on top. 

Leave to set for an hour in the freezer
